Leonardo
Bortolotto
Viola da gamba
Roots
I grew up in Veneto, in a small village near Venice.
Study
I studied in Castelfranco Veneto and Basel.
Professional
I perform as a gambist and give individual and ensemble lessons for viola da gamba. I also produce audio and video recordings in the field of classical music.
Why
I have loved music since I discovered a musical instrument at the age of 10. Making music is the best thing.
Elective Affinities
Glenn Gould’s interpretation of Bach changed my life when I was a teenager. With that, I probably don’t fit into the scene at all, but I can’t go back and change that event.
Something else
In my next life, I would choose the voice as my instrument.
