Roots
From birth to the first master’s degree: everything in Lucerne!
Studies
First I studied modern harp in Lucerne and Detmold (master in pedagogy and as an instrumental soloist), then art history and German language and literature in Bern and finally further harp at the Schola in Basel.
Professionally
Fortunately, I can follow my interests crosswise: practicing and playing many concerts, thinking up programs, curating a festival, teaching at the music school, and doing some political work for cultural promotion.
Why
From wThere can be no question of voting! I do not look far ahead, but follow everything in a small radiusI can’t wait to see what’s popping up and captivating me.
Elective Affinities
A blurry radio broadcast on the car radio late at night with poor reception. Some organ music from the 16th century – the first time the feeling that there must be something else, something great.
Something else
We are living in troubled times that keep me very busy. I always have to ask myself the question about the relevance of my own work: What is the task of art for society? Beauty for its own sake is probably not enough. And how can I fulfill this claim? It remains a constant struggle.
