Emma-Lisa
Roux
Lute and voice (soprano)
Roots
I am French and Spanish. I grew up in Chelles, a small town in the suburbs of Paris.
Study
I studied lute at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis for seven years and graduated with a Bachelor’s and two Master’s degrees.
Professional
I teach lute in my hometown and am a freelance musician, singing and playing in ensembles or solo.
Why
I started singing and playing the lute as a child, and it seemed natural to become a professional musician!
Elective Affinities
Aside from making and listening to music, to be happy in life I need my incredible friends and family, a movie that makes me cry, a book that captivates me, and a good laugh every now and then.
