Zinc and recorder
Roots
I was born in Graz, Austria.
Study
First I studied recorder and music pedagogy in Graz and Salzburg and then zinc at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.
Professional
On the one hand I work as a freelance tine player and recorder player, on the other hand I am also the choir school director of the Knabenkantorei Basel and a choir director.
Why
I am fascinated by the music of the 16th and 17th centuries – there is still so much new to discover there.
I also see myself as an interface between pedagogy, mediation and early music. In my workshops, choir rehearsals and lessons I want to pass on what fascinates me with enthusiasm.
Elective Affinities
I love being in nature with my husband and our daughter, hiking, snowboarding, swimming, traveling and exploring.
Something else
Playing zinc is a bit like brushing your teeth. When it comes down to it, you regret not doing it regularly every day.
